Tip 3: Once you have decided on a destination, search for different travel options. Even for international travel, there might be options other than air travel. Evaluate the options based on time taken, convenience and cost and select one. If you are travelling by air or rail, booking early might help to get a better deal. It also make sure the availability, especially during peak season. There are a lot of travel booking sites available. Check out and explore..... couple of them can be seen in the ads :-)

Tip 2: While planning on a holiday, consider multiple destinations. Do a small research on each of them. Think of points like accessibility, availability of good accommodation, what all important and interesting areas to visit and expenses to and with in the place. Compare them and come to a decision. You do not want to be disappointed due to lack of facilities or due to unexpected increase in expenses, do you? Also make a consensus with in the group, if you are travelling as a group. The last thing you want is a person who is not interested in the place. In essence a small work done in planning the holiday in beginning can save you big during holidays and you will enjoy to maximum.

How often do you take a holiday in an year?? once, twice or more than that. Whatever be your answer, you want that holiday to be memorable, isnt it? For that planning your holiday is absolutely essential. I just want to share some tips, which are based on my personal experience.

Tip 1: Take time to plan your trip. The time frame depends on the type of holiday you make. You should at least start your planning before 2 weeks of the trip, especially if it is a foreign travel. If you require a visa to the country you are visting, then things needs to start atleast 1 month before. If you plan a weekend break, think of it at least before a week. Planning the trip saves you time and money during your vacation. You can get best deals in accommodation and travel if you plan early or book early, especially during peak season.
